Hey there, fellow adventure enthusiasts!

Today we are thrilled to share an exhilarating tale that will have you on the edge of your seats. Picture this: two hikers, driven by an insatiable desire to witness an epic sunrise, who set out on a daring mission to conquer a mountain by night—armed with the rugged PD36R Pro flashlight and feature-rich HM61R V2.0 Headlamp from Fenix Lighting. With these tools, they embarked on a thrilling journey to capture an unforgettable moment that will leave a lasting impact.

Here at 11:56 Productions, we're all about telling authentic stories, narratives that place a product or service in its intended environment, and this project was no exception. Shooting in the dark brings its fair share of challenges, as scenes set “in the dark” are never truly “in the dark.” But our crew at 11:56 Productions are no strangers to working in low-light or no-light environments. To achieve the look we wanted, we packed in additional lighting, which included Godox TL30 tube lights and Aputure MC RGBWW Mini LED Lights, ensuring that every frame illuminated the raw beauty of the trail in the mountains. We also used the Fenix TK20R from the last project as a spotlight in some shots.

But here's the best part—instead of relying on staged setups and “movie magic,” we took authenticity to the next level. Our original plan was to camp at the trailhead the first night and then hike up early the following morning. However, after a quick discussion, we decided to embrace the spirit of this project, and we hiked up that mountain through the night! Starting our ascent at 10:30 PM, we set up camp just after midnight and caught a measly two hours of sleep before embarking on our journey to the summit at 3:30 AM. Talk about sweat equity! We were personally invested in this project, as we had invested our blood (at least a drop), sweat, and admittedly tears into the experience. Look, guys, it’s not Everest, but it was still a challenge. :)

Here’s the thing, at 11:56 Productions, we're not just storytellers; we're avid outdoor adventurers too. We believe in the products and brands we partner with because we rely on them in our own adventures. For us, it's personal, and we want to work with brands who honestly believe in creating quality products or services that live up to the hype. It’s not just about the gear; it's about the experiences they help us create, and we all want positive experiences.

Speaking of gear, we shot everything on the Sony Fx3 paired with the Sony 24-70 F2.8 g-master. With this setup, we had no problems capturing the breathtaking beauty of the night hike, the excitement of setting up camp, and the awe-inspiring moment when the sun began to rise. Every frame reflected the ruggedness of Fenix Lighting's products and the exhilaration of the hikers as they soaked in the radiance of a mountain sunrise.

Another Epic Sunrise

This is why we push through the hard stuff.

This project epitomizes the essence of 11:56 Productions—embracing the thrill of the journey, staying authentic to our core values, and bringing stories to life with passion and creativity. So, as we bid farewell to this unforgettable adventure, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fenix Lighting USA, our Cast and Crew, and you for joining us on this thrilling ride.
